Me, Myself, and I: A Passionate, Curious Go-Do Magician

I cannot get enough of technology, data, business - and especially where it all interact. I love building things, whether that being business models, Excel models, data visualizations, relationships, competences or even websites and small DIY contraptions. When building, I enjoy the process of finding the need, analysing and testing solutions with users to ensure that what I build is considered good by them. I am data-driven by heart and take pride in making the best decision possible - meaning solving the right problem, for the right people at the right time and place.

Teaching I teach several courses in my current work as well as onboard and coach new colleagues. During my studies I always found great pleasure in assisting fellow students when appropriate. I thus have a lot of experience, I enjoy doing it, but I am certain that I can get better.

Solution focused I keep my eye on the ball to solve the right issue, for the right people at the right time. I prefer to have the customer/user in focus and making the best solution for them.

Detail oriented I have an urge to know everything, and I prefer to have as much information to base decisions on. I am aware that no one will ever have the full picture though, so often the question is about when is enough.

Creative I pride myself with thinking outside the box, come up with different solutions and challenge the status quo. I spent much of my free time being "Gyro Gearloose" (Georg Gearløs) and building creative solutions to small every-day challenges.

Team work

Finance My education has been very finance/investment focused. My first two years as full-time consultant have been with a degree of focus on the finance graduate programme.
I hold a degree in Applied Economics and Finance as well as a diploma from Deloitte's Finance Graduate Assessment Center.

Public speaking Facilitating courses for audiences sized between 20-70 people.

Agile I am aware of - and am intrigued by - agile methodologies. I have also been exposed to a few agile projects. I would not say I know everything about it, but I would prefer to get to work more in this way.

Can-do I prefer to work rather than wait. I like to get started as quickly as possible, and I can get impatient when involved in too many bureaucratic processes.

Ballroom Dancing I practiced and competed in ballroom dancing at the top national level for 11 years in my youth.

Applications

Excel I am usually very careful about calling myself an expert, but when it comes to Excel and VBA, I dare to say that there are very few people with more experience in and knowledge about Excel than me. Being teacher, developer and supporter in Excel for 3 years in Deloitte has exposed me to so many scenarios which have provided me with this experience in all aspects of the platform.

Power Query/Pivot

Power BI Although I teach Power BI and have a vast experience in it, I am aware that there are aspects of the platform that I have yet to discover.

Alteryx I have the Alteryx Designer Core certification.

Anaplan I have the Anaplan Model Builder Level 1 certification.

UiPath (RPA) I have the UiPath RPA Developer Advanced certification.

Power Point I enjoy conveying stories. The process of making the slides is sometimes as rewarding as the resulting presentation (my detail-focused personality loves alignments).

R (Studio) Primarily exposure from education and personal projects.

Qlik / Tableau

WordPress As a freelance IT consultant I have built a ton of websites and webshops in WordPress. Many of these have been with custom-built modules.

Visio

SAP (S/4 HANA) Part of the implementation at a global professional services provider. I have a great knowledge about its possibilities as well as a limited experience in operations.

Google Cloud Platform I have the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.

I know something

I know some (but I don't know what I don't know)

I know a lot (there's nothing I don't know)

I know almost everything (I have an idea of how much I don't know)

I would consider myself an expert (I often feel like I know nothing)

My Other Experiences

Teaching courses in quantitative analysis and Excel (beginners and advanced) for consultants as well as case days in Power BI and Excel for students.

Panelist for "Customers of tomorrow" session at conference for leaders of major car dealership network.

Digital Leadership case day with Google and McKinsey.

Studio 18 case competition at Deloitte Digital.

Technology Seminar London with Digital McKinsey.

Hackathon with Maersk Digital.

Vice president of student council at Niels Brock high school.

Silver and bronze winner at regional and national championships in ballroom dancing.

My Other Interests

In my free time, I love to explore the world under water as a scuba diver.

For 11 years, I practiced and competed in ballroom dancing at top national level. It complimented my personality well with a need for commitment, special sense for detail and teamwork.

I enjoy spending time both sailing and maintaining our family boat when wheather and time allows for it.

On a rainy day inside, I nurture my inner engineer with building websites, apps or DIY IoT devices.

If this has caught your interest in me, then don't hesitate to reach out - I'll be looking forward to hearing from you.
